About Maddalena
Maddalena is a classically trained pianist with over ten years of teaching experience. She completed ten years of formal study at the G. Nicolini Conservatory in Piacenza, Italy, graduating with a Diploma in Piano under the guidance of Maria Grazia Petrali. Her training also includes extensive experience in chamber music and piano four-hands and two-piano performance.
As a young pianist, Maddalena placed in several national piano competitions in Italy, including 2nd Prize at the National Piano Competition Guidomonacoprato and 3rd Prize at the National Piano Competition of Bardolino. She has also developed her playing through masterclasses with acclaimed pianists including Andrea Turini, Humberto Quagliata, Ingrid Filter, Maurizio Moretti and Roberto Plano.
Maddalena has taught piano to students of all ages and levels, from complete beginners to more experienced players. Her lessons are personalised to each student, combining strong technical foundations with carefully chosen repertoire and an emphasis on musicality from the very beginning. She is a warm, flexible and encouraging teacher who aims to keep students motivated, confident and genuinely inspired by music.
Alongside her classical background, Maddalena spent seven years as keyboardist and backing vocalist with the pop-rock band The Bankrobber, performing in more than ten European countries. The band received international recognition, including a Best Alternative Rock Song award from the Akademia Music Awards in Los Angeles.
Her combination of classical training, contemporary performance experience and extensive teaching experience allows her to work comfortably with a wide range of students and musical interests.
